El La Captina Jackie Sparrow
I fell out with the captain / pilot of this flight.
It was a bit like Oblivion/Pepsi Max big one and the new ride at Thorpe Park ( which Guy, James ,Will and myself went on earlier in the year FAB!) It wasnt down to turbulence or anything like that but it just seemed like he went really fast then descend a bit and bank a bit. My internal spirit level was all over the place even with bands and herbal tablets ( maybe lack of drs orders drink?!) and then they just randomly ( thats how it looks) park the plane and these mad coach drivers eventually catch up with you after following the plane everywhere and then they dump you at baggage claim.
I was very WOO Waayy and quite glad of a wall, a luggage trolley and a space to sit to find my inner level again I was also quite concerned that bag may have decided to go on its own adventure again but 7 bags in on the belt and there it was.
I was being met at the airport and transferred to the hotel which made me feel very movie starish with my own driver and everything. Im off to a Tango show tonight with a meal etc. Its one of the recommended things to do that every person and guidebook says to do so why not!
The hotel is fab and after investigating and finding guide books and maps I headed off to town. I was doing quite well I had found a cash point that gave me money, I had a new head torch and binoculars pads of paper a field guide book and shampoo and shower gel. And then realised that I hadnt really got a going out outfit I went and hit the Mall.
Everywhere ther are these leather stalls or tourist t shirt shops and well over priced things. Not knowing Latin American sizing has its disadvantages.. Lets just say Latin American women are a different shape to me and smaller in height! Theres some wonderful named shops like WHAM! and then you find The Kilkenny the irish pub I even found a St George pub! And then you get good old C and A Which is where I got my outfit!
Now the best way to describe Buenos? If I could put all the major towns and citys I have ever visted together added everyone on speed and then added the usual weekend madness you may get a slight understanding of it. You want to go one way and get swept along with everyone. I ended up very lost again and spent 45minutes trying to flag down a taxi. Eventually on stopped and I showed the map of where the hotel is and because I couldnt give him the number of the hotel he wouldnt take me. So we comprimised on the shopping mall where I eventually got to the Hotel. The car was picking me up between 8 and 8.30 and it was now 8.10pm so I raced into the shower got washed prayed clothes would fit( if anything a bit big!) and was just drying hair when the phone rang to say car was here.!
