Oh..My..God and flying priests
After I got to the airport and finally found the right monitor and check in
point, I relaxed a little. About 5 minutes later an american couple turned
up only to find out that their flight had been cancelled, which isnt nice
for anyone..except she sounded like Janice from Friends, Im sure the
character must have been based on her ¨OOHH MMYY GGOOOD FFRANNKK¨ she kept
whining then all the papers of the tour operator came out and then she got
louder trying to speak spanish and I did feel sorry for Frank. So afyter
20minutes we had established that Carlos and Pablo had given them the wrong
numbers, she couldnt get through to anyone so they were just going to join
our queue even though its a different airline and calm down even though
Janice was totally frickin freakin out here. Then I got served and went away
very quickly because she was rubbing everyone up the wrong way.
Now Peurto Iguassus airport is far more exciting than Sao Paulos. Theres
some really cool crystal shops with big Toucans (about 2.5 foot) made out of
crystals I would have loved one but I doubt I would be able to have clothes
in my luggage allowance if I did ( 18.1kg by the way!!!)
So after buying a print, a couple of books I went and found coffee and
kicked round the airport for a few hours. Janice and Frank passed me a
little later looking far more relaxed and Janice walked off infront whilst
Frank trailed behind.
Eventually security opened and I went through it fine again ( I think its
just when me and Laura go anywhere together we cause problems with the
security now!). There were 2 ladies who had all of their hand luggage gone
through, a chap who kept setting it off and they couldnt fathom out why ( I
reckon hip replacement) and eventually let him through. And then there was a
priest who set it off which obviously put the guards in a bit of a flap
about how to set about going through his luggage and searching him. He got
escorted to a room and the appeared a bit later so I presume it was done off
show to savfe embarrasment.. or maybe worse..
