Dambusters and a terminal end of omnibuses
Friday 15th December
Well after saying bye to all the Yacutinga mob I headed off in the taxi big
brother Ramone had sorted and headed off to the hostel Inn. It was heaving
with travellers young and old from well just about everywhere. There were
Germans,Australians,Irish,Israelians,Italians,Spanish,Americans and they
were just the ones I talked to.
After a long day and not really knowing what to do I headed to the room,
couldnt get in, got let in and then had to head back to reception as they
werent any sheets etc. It sounds silly but it was a hell of a shock to be
back around that amount of people all in a party hard vibe. Normally I
wouldnt have batted an eyelid and probably joined in but it was all a bit
overwhelming and despit the offers of clubbing and drinking I headed off to
bed at 9 as I was absolutly shattered. The only bed left in the dorm was a
top bunk. Which filled me with fear. a) the Im going to fall off factor and
b) The ladders never look particulary safe..
Im quite glad there was noone else in the dorm to witness me getting up
there, the matress was a lot softer than I thought it would be so after
getting up there you sank into the bed. All went well though the other girls
came back at about 4ish and were very good with noise etc. Then at about 6 I
was awake and couldnt sleep anymore so then had the fun task of trying to
get back down again! Eventually I decided a tactic and kind of got down in
one piece and didnt kick the other girl in the head. So I went for breakfast
got things and checked out. The lady at the tourist desk was going to sort
me out a transfer to the airport but according to the board the first one
was at 10.45am which would have been too late for my flight so I got a taxi.
Theres a taxi rank that they come down to and then whisk you away so after
2minutes there was a taxi. After saying Aeropeurto por favor and lots os si
si s later we were off ... and heading in the wrong direction.
But there again I dont the area... last time I was here I got majorly lost
and I still havent fathomed out the laws of the road. Well we ended up at
the terminal de omnibuses ( sounds like a severe end to all omnibus editions
of programmes) so after a very panicked no no aeropeurto and putting arms
out and flying a bit we then established AAHH Aeropeurto Argentinan?? Si!
and off we went again and finally got to the airport with time to spare.
