Tucan Senorhita
So I met up with Claudia and Carlos and Greg and the rest of the gang. And kept being introduced as this is Mairee the Toucan woman. On all the paper work Toucan woman and OOhhh Tucan Senorhita et cacca basically the toucan woman who studys the poo!
I've been called worse things in my time. They are all quite bemused by me and my studies! Though they reckon I have more of a finch beak than Toucan which is nice!
So we transferred with people who are holidaying at the lodge all of whom where London or Irish.
The most funniest thing of all is Greg who is a guide here in the summer actually takes tours around the castle school groups! I did think how typical travel to a completely different country and someone knows where you work and has visited. I had a similar thing when I went to Fuertoventura there was a British keeper at the zoo his dad had worked at the same place I had for many years and I knew him and got on well with him.
So last night was basically going through the welcome pack and going to the bio center.
I had my first jungle meal rice,peppers,cucmber,onion and chicken very yum!! and Greg appeared with beer!! I also saw my first Armadillo!! and fireflys. Mervyn at the George would have been proud of my fire building skills last night I must say after teaching me for a week at least at the George it finally paid off where I built a cracking fire in the jungle.
